The Problem

A lot of minorities, such as women, working in technology tend to feel uncomfortable, unheard or unappreciated in their workplace because of their underrepresentation in their companies. This problem transcends beyond just the workforce, but even down to college students, high school students, and even middle school students!

In our Culture of Tech sessions, a lot of people expressed about feeling unappreciated or overlooked by their teachers or fellow students in their Computer Science class based on their gender or race. This is why diversity is very important, especially in workspaces. Not only is diversity in people important, but also diversity in thought. We wanted to provide everyone with the tech companies that embrace diversity within their employees.
